courses introduction

The degree courses the Department currently offers are:

national media museum

Some courses are delivered in conjunction with the National Media Museum, which has responsibility for specific aspects and disciplines. Further details on the Museum can be found in our Department section

course aims

The aim of our undergraduate degree programmes is to produce graduates who are 'well prepared to become professionals in the new media and related industries'.

As a student, you will learn how to create content in a range of digital media forms, understand the underpinning technologies and be aware of the social and cultural contexts in which digital media is produced and distributed.

The degree courses offered by the Department of EIMC aim to develop these skills through their practical content. In particular, group and individual project work has an integrating function, allowing you to bring together the more specialised technical design and aesthetic considerations explored in the courses.
